It is my joy and life’s work to offer mind-body medicine in psychotherapy and coaching, and to honour the unique psycho-spiritual journey of each client.  I have spent decades studying and practicing holistic psychotherapy and mind-body-spirit approaches to mental health treatment and services.

Fear Is At The Root of So Much Suffering

Fear can take over a person’s mind and interfere with life goals in complex and multiple ways. As I see it, people struggle with anxiety in different ways, but all fear-based life patterns and problems are rooted in a little voice (sometimes a very loud voice) that dictates trepidation over love; careful treading in life situations over happiness; and ultimately, safety over freedom.My focus in therapy and coaching is helping you heal that voice of anxiety, panic and fear.

I have made a conscious choice to live from my heart, and to help others in living from theirs. My mission is to assist you in liberating your potential (when it’s been squashed by fear) and learning transformative skills for living your happiest life.

Background and Experience

I am a Master’s trained Registered Social Worker. As a Clinical Counselling Hypnotherapist (C.Hyp™) Practitioner and Meditation Teacher, I have taught thousands of individuals in mindfulness, meditation, trance-work, self-hypnosis, and integrative healing approaches.

As for credentials and qualifications, I have over twenty-five years of professional experience in the mental health and psychotherapy field, and my current professional memberships include the following:

Location & Service Approach

In addition to online and/or phone-based sessions, I can also meet clients in-person, in Thornhill, Ontario (Promenade mall area). My approach to psychotherapy is an integrative one, blending evidence-based counselling approaches (primarily CBT, mindfulness-based and solution-focused brief counselling) with holistic interventions.  Depending on client needs, sessions may incorporate clinical hypnosis, meditative explorations of core beliefs, and may also involve client-centred energy medicine techniques.  Hypnosis is a highly effective complementary therapy in the treatment of anxiety, phobias, depression, trauma and chronic pain.  For this reason, hypnotherapy and trance-work are often employed with leading edge psychotherapy approaches to healing, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Exposure and Response Prevention therapy (E/RP) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT).

Structure of Session

I can provide sessions via phone, internet or in-person.  In-person sessions take place at my home office in Thornhill, Ontario. Sessions are 90 minutes long, and include a recording of your in-session hypnosis or meditation to take home with you.

For online sessions, I use a secure web-based and password protected e-counselling platform.  When you book an online session with me, you will be sent an email (in advance of session) that will allow you to access this e-platform which is compliant with privacy legislation, for confidentiality purposes.  Don’t worry, it’s super easy to use.  When you schedule  your session through my booking system (below), just be sure to indicate that you’re booking an online or phone session (the system will ask you if you prefer online, phone, or in-person).  For phone and web-based counselling, we meet for 45 minutes, to allow me the post-session time for development of your unique, customized hypnosis or meditation audio (developed specifically for issues being worked on by you).  This recording is 20-30 minutes long, and will be sent to you in password-protected format within 3 days of our online or phone-based session.

Fees and Booking Your Session

The cost is $150 per session.  Special programming/Coaching packages may be available after your first session  – this information will be provided to you upon your first booking.  Please be advised that there is usually a minimum 2-3 week wait, sometimes longer (depending on time of year).  Payment is required at time of booking.
